Here I am...

As I am writing this review, I am listening to an impressive album from a Young music director "Dharan". Yes, I am talking about his recent album - 'Sivi'

Dharan who made a decent outing with his debut 'Parijatham' continues from where he left. The song 'Unnai Kandane' had enough to talk about his talents.I was wondering why did not he get another chance. And now i know the answer. It takes time to create an exceptional piece of art work. That is what Dharan has done here. He has experimented with the sounds and to say, he has succeeded to an extent.

There is a pleasant feeling when you start listening to the songs and the songs impress you instantly. My Bet on the Album would be on "O Nenje" and the "Rap Theme" (which combined with the lyrics, is a treat to listen). The other two songs are also impressive with the song "Nerupum" being inspired from Arabian music. With youngsters like GV Prakash also topping the music charts, we should be ready for a musical feast. Let's see what Dharan's mentor has in store for us in "Bheema' which is supposed to release on 10-Aug.

In short, Dharan excels in 'Sivi'

Disclaimer: Guys, this is my first attempt to write any kind of reviews. So it might be an exagerated review. Listen to the music and let me know if you think otherwise.

Is this an Excuse? When people say "I don't have time", do they mean that 24 hours is not enough for what they want to do? This weekend pretty much I ended up saying the same for most of the things I wanted to complete.

I did not have time for a Hair Cut!
I did not have time to watch a movie!
I did not have time to Visit my Collegue who has become a Proud Father last week!
I did not have time to iron my clothes!
I did not have time to chat with Odayan!

So what else did I do? I did complete some important tasks like getting all the paperwork done for the GC, did some shopping at Banana Republic etc which only took 5 hours of the entire two days. At the end, if someone asks "How was your weekend?". I reply "BUSY" after completing none of the ones said above. Shame!

I should try to improve on my Time Management!

yes Here I am...after a looooong gap...Things changed a lot since I wrote my last blog...I am now in US working as a Consultant and there has been significant improvements on my personal front as well. I was involved in so many things around me that I nearly forgot that I had started writing a blog and lost that habit by the time I was getting the hang of it. Suddenly this evening I was reminded of my blog and I was really happy to read my own blog and cherish some good memories which otherwise would have been lost. So, I just thought of posting an entry today hoping that I would keep writing from now on to preserve my memories and share some thoughts...

In about two hours from now, the clock would strike twelve. Not just that, my mobile will also start ringing. Guess who would be calling me first. It will be my mother and then my beloved friends. Poeple believe that whatever will happen tomorrow will happen for the next one year. And the good thing is no one will scold me :-), coz It's My ...... 'Day!!!

It's hard to say that today is my last day at Infy. I had received a wonderful farewell from my colleagues, who have been supporting me for the last one and half years. The time spent here will always remain a plesant memory. I just adore this campus of world class. Hope a better career awaits me.

I am back in LJ. I had to restrict myself from scribbling here, coz I was busy loooking for a transition. Worth a Wait, I suppose.

Atlast, I got the result I expected by GOD's grace, mother's blessings and my well wisher's wishes. I got a job in my area of expertise and in a company , who are into Data Warehousing since the beginning. Hope to start a new career. Guys, wish me luck!!!
Though I was not writing here, I was reading the entries of my friends. Good to see a couple of my friends mushy_masculine, minor_kunju have started sharing their experience here. Great to see, (¯`·._.·[ (SIL) ]·._.·´¯) (cyberscorpion) making it big in LJ. Good going man.

Though late, Happy Valentine's day to all. Hope everyone would have enjoyed the day.

Had a very busy weekend. Spent sometime at the Eagleton Golf Resort on Saturday morning. It was the first long ride, I had on my new Pulsar. Stayed there till 12 Noon and have to race to Koramangala for our project party. All my team mates have already come. I joined them at 12:50 and we had a nice lunch at China Pearl. Its a good place and the service is far better from the other restaurants. We left to PVR only to get our emotions tested. Yeah, we went for Black. Amitabh and Ayeesha Kapoor really impressed me. I went out to Eden Huts Dhaba on the Outer Ring Road. Oh Man! by this time, I was really tired.
Had a sound sleep and woke up only at 12 Noon on the next morning. The day was very dull as all my friends were keen to take rest after a tiring saturday.

So, I had been to my uncle's house and had a nice time there.

Today, Valentine's Day, nothing exciting. No proposals, no disposal :-)

Yeah, Its the day I was looking for. I got my Pulsar today after waiting for 16 long days, which definitely seem to be much longer for me. Its my first bike and MAN, I LOVE IT!!!!  I got a Red One, 150 CC, DTSI with the Alloy Wheels. The mag wheels and the shock absorber are really fantastic with an excellent riding comfort. I never felt like to keep the foot off my bike. Bangalore was very small for me to test my new bike. Hoping to go for a long ride this Saturday. Wanna Ride...

The Last Temptation!!!

I boarded the Shuttle at 7:15 in the evening, after a tiring day. Had planned to practice lookup and Update Strategy in Informatica. I must confess here that, I get easily distracted by the things around me. But yesterday I was determined to complete what I had planned.The Shuttle started. I felt that I could have used my foot rather than the six-wheeler. Such a slow paced traffic. Thanks to the BMTC Buses and Private Buses who are always responsible for creating a huge kiosk on the Hosur Road. And I cannot control the eyelids from closing my eyes. Sooner I found Shan on a bike racing at about 200 kmph on the ECR at Chennai. I realised, I was in my dreams.

I had to step down at Madiwala and walked to my room. Yet to be distracted, I was confident of executing my plans. I had reached my room. None of my roommates had arrived.Guess What????? The time is now 9... It took about an hour and forty five minutes from Electronic City to BTM Layout.Had a quick refreshment before sitting in front of SHAN LABS. I would'nt have logged in to the computer. It was Odayan, who entered the room, with a shocking message.

It was that Pondy, one of my very best friends had met with an accident. Shocked to hear the news, I took my mobile and called him.I was waiting for him to pick up the call. He started with a "Hello". Tears from my eyes!! I love him so much!! Its been a long time, since I have spoken to him. I bet, you are never bored, when he is around you. I also started "Dae Pondy, eppadi da iruke??" (How are you, Pondy). Without me asking about the incident, he narrated how the accident had happened. Pondy along with Shanker (who is also my friend) were on a Pulsar on the Mount Road. A car that came behind them at high speed hit the back of the Pulsar. Shanker who was driving lost the balance, and Pondy by the time had fallen to his right. Luckily, there were no other vihicles behind. Pondy's shoulder was dislocated on this. He was advised by the doctor to stay in the same position for about three weeks. Thank God, Shankar escaped with minor injuries. It was a great relief only after speaking with Pondy.

Along with Pondy in his house was my other friend, Mahesh. Not to mention, we both were in LOVE with the same girl, Gayathri in our college days. Unfortunately, it was a third guy, who succeeded in the mission. We used to call each other as "Pangali". Alas!, there was another bad news waiting!! He informed me that Gayathri had been hospitalised for the past two weeks. She also met with an accident. Thought of calling her, but the time was already 10. Didn't want to disturb her. Will be calling her this evening.

After all this, I managed to study a lil bit of Informatica. Again a day, where I hadn't stuck to my plans. Also managed to find some sleep!!!!

Now back in the office, in front of my D600 Laptop narrating my last night which only had "Bad News" for me!!!

Narain Karthikeyan will make history come March 6 when he becomes the first Indian driver to line up on a Formula One grid in Melbourne, Australia. Narain is confirmed to drive for Jordon this season.

It's good to see some sport, other than Cricket getting attention in India atlast. Thanks to Sania Mirza, the first Indian to make it to the Third Round in a Grand Slam. Also Hockey is getting a Kick-Off in the domestic level with Premier Hockey League. Sponsors have come forward to encourage People like Narain and Sania. It's good for Indian Sport!!!

Just came to the office. Checked my blog before checking Outlook. Really glad to see Divya, pmanoj007,Arthi Ramaswamy,reetuashwin who have added me as their friends. Thanks to all of them.

It was half past eight. Just forty five minutes left to board the shuttle to office. And I had to wait for half an hour for my turn to take bath. Managed to bath, dress and eat in just 15 minutes.
About to start from my room. I had a kinda feeling that I might ve forgotten something. Time Up...
Hired a Three Wheeler and rushed to my Pick-Up point.
Thank God! The Shuttle did not come yet...

The Shuttle arrived.
Everyone were neat with a well trimmed hair, clean shaved cheeks, nicely polished shoes, well ironed shirts with a Tie. (Its complete business formals on Monday and Tuesday here in Infosys).

Oops! I forgot to wear my belt!
Oh Man! I wonder how absent minded I was to forget my belt.
Its really embarrasing now to walk along thousands of well dressed people with the dressing incomplete.

I can only hope that I do not see my PM today for any meeting or Video Conference..
Let me see how my day goes!!!

My First Blog

This is my very first attempt to write a blog. So please excuse me for the language and content, if wrong. I was inspired by Silvester who also writes blog in LJ(cyberscorpion). I am here to share my thoughts and to make friends.

Me:

I prefer to be called as Shan, work as a System Engineer at Infosys. I spend most of time with my friends and the rest with my computer, the so called SHAN LABS. I love music and of late, I have developed a huge passion for driving.

Ok guys..already 1 hour since I started writing this blog...will catch you up with a better blog the next time!
